What to ask your pharmacist at your next refill.

This is the last email in our welcome series, and we wanted to leave you with something you can use immediately. Your pharmacist is one of the most accessible (and underused) healthcare professionals you have. Here are five questions worth asking at your next refill.

"Is there a generic or therapeutic alternative that costs less?"

Pharmacists can identify cheaper options and coordinate with your prescriber to make the switch. They do this routinely.

"Would a 90-day supply save me money?"

Buying in bulk often reduces your per-dose cost. Many insurance plans and discount programs offer better rates on 90-day fills.

"Is the cash price cheaper than my copay?"

This happens more often than you would think, especially with generics. Ask explicitly because most pharmacists cannot volunteer this.

"Are any of my medications interacting with each other?"

Your pharmacist has your full prescription history at that pharmacy. A quick check can catch things that slipped through the cracks across multiple providers.

"Is there anything I should avoid while taking this?"

Food interactions, alcohol, timing relative to meals: these details matter and are easy to miss in a rushed appointment.

We built OmniRx to give you the knowledge that makes these conversations productive. Your tools are always here when you need them.
